•The Project Management in Red Crescent is studying the implementing and funding of various construction projects (construction and maintenance) inside and outside the state such as; building mosques, digging wells, residential cities …, also the implementation of other projects upon the request of the assignor (Donor and Charity -Donor).

•The cost of development and reconstruction projects that were carried out by the Authority until the end of 2009 is 155 Million and 954 Thousand and 600 Dirhams a cost of about 20 projects in several countries, which included housing health and education projects; as well as facilitaties project. the countries covered by these projects are: Palestine, Yemen, Pakistan, Sudan, Syria, Lebanon, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Maldives.


They are the domestic construction projects; such as, the maintenance and construction of houses, mosques, schools and others on the domestic level.

During 2009, 11 houses were maintained in Abu Dhabi, 5 houses in Ras Al Khaimah, 6 houses in Fujairah, 9 houses in Umm Al Quwain, 5 houses in Dubai and two houses in Sharjah. Also the maintenance of nos.5 mosques were maintained at a total cost estimated at AED 6 Million and nowadays 6 mosques are under construction in different emirates of the state…

Department of Relief and Emergency in the UAE Red Crescent Authority, similarly to the relevant departments of the movement of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies is the competent department in dealing with the implementation of the Authority’s programs and activities that are related to natural disasters; such as: floods, torrents, earthquakes, volcanoes, hurricanes, drought .etc.), as the relief programs carried out by the Authority until the end of the year 2010 amounted to about 1,102,249,565 dirhams, which included about 30 countries around the world, and has provided reliefs to Palestine, Yemen, Sudan, Somalia, Morocco and Afghanistan, which has a first place in the value and the size of the relifs that implemented for the benefit of those affected by the disasters and crises in those countries.

Also, the Authority has submitted relifs to a number of other countries and which is a contribution from the Authority to ease the damage of that countries because of the disasters of floods, rain, earthquakes, drought and desertification, as well as supporting the humanitarian issues for the most vulnerable groups in the other hand. the countries were covered by the Authority relifs are: Pakistan, Mauritania, the Comoros, the Philippines, Indonesia, India, Syria, Lebanon, Bangladesh, Tanzania, Thailand, Turkey, Sri Lanka, China, Maldives, Kyrgyzstan, Albania, Ethiopia, South Africa, Niger, Guinea, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Iraq, Jordan, Chad, Senegal, Bosnia and the Arab Secretariat of the permanent Authority of the International Committee of the Red Cross.

This in addition to the material contributions of the Authority in supporting the relief programs that carried out by the regional and international humanitarian organizations, in a number of arenas, for example, the participation in the International Federation of Red Cross programs and Red Crescent Societies, and the International Committee of the Red Cross and the World Food Programme and the Secretariat Arab Organization for Crescent Societies and the Red Cross.
